Welcome to Parenting the Teen Tribe. We’re so glad you’re here! Our community is built on trust, respect, and transparency. To help everyone feel safe and supported, we’ve outlined our key policies below.

Parenting the Teen Tribe ( “we,” “our,” “us’) is hosted on the Mighty Networks platform and uses Paystack as a payment processor. By accessing or using our website, community, or services (the “Services”), you (“you,” “user,” “member”) agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and all additional policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our Services.

By using our Services, you accept these Terms and agree to be legally bound by them.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

2. Services Provided
Parenting the Teen Tribe is an online community designed to support parents of tweens and teens through shared resources, courses, events and discussions.

3. Community Guidelines
We are committed to creating a safe, supportive space. Members agree to:

Be respectful and kind to all participants.

Keep personal information of others private.

Not post harmful, offensive, or unlawful content (including hate speech, harassment, or spam).
We reserve the right to suspend or remove members who violate these guidelines.

4. Courses, Content & Resources

All materials provided (courses, articles, videos, guides, etc.) are for educational and informational purposes only.

They are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or psychological advice.

Intellectual property (logos, materials, content) belongs to Parenting the Teen Tribe and may not be copied, shared, or redistributed without permission.

6. Delivery of Services
Digital services (such as access to courses, memberships, or events) will be delivered via the Mighty Networks platform once payment is confirmed.

7. Refunds

Refunds may be granted only under conditions set out in our Refund Policy below.

8. Liability Limitations
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We disclaim all warranties, guarantees, and responsibility for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parenting the Teen Tribe, Paystack, Mighty Networks, and related third parties against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of laws, or breach of these Terms.
2. Payment Policy and PCI Notice
All payments are processed securely via Paystack.

By making a payment, you authorise us and Paystack to process your payment information.

Prices and payment options will be clearly displayed before checkout.

In case of a dispute, payments may be reversed according to card network rules or Paystack’s dispute process.

Some fees are non-refundable and will be disclosed at checkout.

By completing a purchase, you agree to Paystack’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

PCI / Security / Payment Card Compliance Notice

We comply with, and strive to maintain, industry standards for data security, including payments through PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)-compliant Paystack.

Paystack processes cardholder data with encryption and secure protocols.
3. Refund and Returns Policy

Unless otherwise stated, digital products and course fees are non-refundable once accessed.

Membership cancellation will stop future billing, but previously paid fees are non-refundable.

Refunds are only available under the following conditions:

Duplicate payment.

Inability to access paid digital content due to technical issues not caused by you.

Requests for refunds must be sent to kath@heath.co.za within 7 days of purchase.

Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 5 working days, via Paystack to the original payment method.

Beyond these conditions, payments are non-refundable.
4. Mighty Networks Platform

Since our Community is hosted on Mighty Networks, your use is also governed by their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Please review those documents, as they apply to your participation. (please add link here)
5. Dispute Resolution and Complaints Policy
Complaints Procedure
We hope that we can resolve any issues you may have and are committed to handling concerns fairly and respectfully:

We encourage members to contact us directly to resolve any concerns before taking further steps. Most issues can be quickly resolved through open communication.

Complaints can be sent by email to kath@heath.co.za

We respond to complaints and disputes within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 15 business days.

Each party here agrees to try in good faith for 30 days to informally resolve any dispute before starting arbitration.

A party who intends to seek arbitration must first send the other a written notice describing the nature and basis of the dispute and detailing the relief sought.

Escalation

If a dispute is not resolved, you agree that disputes may be escalated to mediation or arbitration in accordance with applicable law.

If the dispute relates to payments and cannot be resolved internally, you may escalate it through Paystack’s dispute process or, for platform-related issues, Mighty Networks’ support team.
5. Dispute Resolution and Complaints Policy
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how Parenting the Teen Tribe collects, uses, and protects your data when you join and participate in our community, hosted on Mighty Networks, with payments processed via Paystack.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Parenting the Teen Tribe does not provide professional medical, legal, or psychological services.

Participation in the Community is at your own discretion and risk.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the transaction paid for the relevant service.

You agree to indemnify us, Paystack, and partners against misuse or unlawful use.

We are not responsible for technical issues, service interruptions, or actions taken by Mighty Networks or Paystack and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to our Service.

We disclaim liability for indirect, special, or consequential damages.
8. Indemnity Clause
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parenting the Teen Tribe, Paystack, Mighty Networks, and affiliated third parties from claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your misuse of the Services or breach of applicable laws or payment network rules.
9. Reference to Paystack’s Terms and Policies
By using our Services and making payments through Paystack, you acknowledge and agree that payment processing is governed by our merchant agreement with Paystack and Paystack’s own Terms of Service and related policies.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective once posted on this page, with the “last updated” date revised.
